Tashina Atine, spokesperson, director and former title holder Miss Phoenix United States 2011. Atine, is Navajo (Diné) originally from Provo and Monument Valley, Utah. Her Diné clans are Todich'ii'nii (Bitter water) born for Naaneesht'e'zhi T'achii'nii (Red running into the water people). She currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona where she attends Scottsdale Community College with a focus on accounting. She plans on continuing her education at W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.

In 2007, Atine was scouted by a local artist to model for an event, and has since been involved with many Native American photographers and designers. She has worked with top names in the Native American industry, such as Karl Jim of 21Native, Mahio Manus, Levi Blackwolf of Wolf Photography, Cheef Clothing, Bethany Yellowtail and ShoSho Esquiro. To extend her knowledge in the business, Atine was assistant to Stephanie Jerome, CEO of Native Model Talent based in Denver, Colorado. As an assistant at NMT, Atine enjoys traveling, scouting new talents, working on set, coordinating shoots and being a role model for up-and-coming Native American models.

During her spare time, Atine enjoys training for marathons and promoting healthy living as well as awareness of the importance of higher education and self-confidence among Native American women. As owner and director of Miss Native American USA Pageant she plans to continue to raise awareness regarding diabetes prevention, domestic violence, suicide and teenage pregnancy in the Native American communities across the country.​
